The CU Anschutz August Staff Employee of the Month is Jeff Kenney, undergraduate program manager in the College of Nursing.

Jeff is, quite simply, the backbone of our undergraduate program. He keeps an incredibly complex operation running smoothly across multiple undergraduate pathways and campuses, somehow making it all look effortless. There are countless moving pieces, but Jeff is always calm, organized and one step ahead. No matter what comes up, he helps keep everything on track.
One of the things I appreciate most about Jeff is how responsive and helpful he is. Faculty know they can reach out with questions, problems or last-minute requests and he'll either have the answer or find it quickly. He has a way of making everyone feel like their question or concern matters. Even when juggling countless responsibilities, he remains approachable, responsive and thoughtful.
I had the opportunity to work closely with Jeff while serving as chair of a standing committee, and I came to appreciate just how invaluable he is as a partner. He was always available, always responsive and an incredible resource. If he didn't have the information I needed, he tracked it down immediately and followed up. His institutional knowledge, reliability and willingness to help made my job significantly easier, and I honestly can't imagine serving in that role without his partnership.
What stands out to me most is that Jeff does all of this quietly. Because so much of his work happens behind the scenes, not everyone may perceive the role he plays in keeping our undergraduate program running smoothly. But those of us who work with him definitely do. His professionalism, consistency and positive attitude make a difference every single day for faculty, staff and ultimately our students.
Jeff is an exceptional colleague, an outstanding partner and someone whose hard work deserves to be recognized.
