On Sept. 17, CU Anschutz faculty gathered to celebrate their academic achievements at the annual Tenure and Promotion Luncheon. Hosted by Chancellor Don Elliman and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, Provost & Chief Academic Officer Laura Borgelt, PharmD, MBA, the event recognized faculty members who earned tenure, received promotions or both.
The annual luncheon celebrates the dedication and accomplishments of CU Anschutz faculty and the expertise, leadership and commitment they bring to the campus community.
"You have demonstrated your deep commitment to teaching, research, leadership, service and clinical care," said Chancellor Elliman. "It is your expertise and contributions that elevate CU Anschutz among the top tier of academic medical campuses and that shape the arc of our future success."
This year, 34 faculty members received tenure and 262 faculty members were promoted, marking significant professional achievements across CU Anschutz.
Borgelt addressed the crowd: “Promotion and tenure are important milestones, but they are not endpoints. They are affirmations of the impact you have already made and of the promise of what is still ahead. I hope you will continue to ask difficult questions, seek progress through incorporating a variety of perspectives, and imagine possibilities that do not yet exist.”
