CU leadership is pleased to announce the nomination period for the 2026–27 Excellence in Leadership Program (ELP), a highly regarded, system‑wide initiative dedicated to developing emerging leaders across the university. This yearlong fellowship, beginning in August 2026, offers participants the opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills, deepen their understanding of the CU system and engage with a cohort of peers from across the university. The program launches with a two‑day, in‑person kickoff on August 6 and 7, followed by full‑day sessions held monthly from September through April.
We are seeking nominations of faculty and/or senior staff – such as assistant vice chancellors and directors – from your area who have demonstrated high potential for growth and are currently serving in senior leadership roles. Nomination materials will be sent to associate vice chancellors, deans and executive leadership of departments, schools and colleges during the week of March 30, and all nominations must be submitted by these individuals.
If you have someone in your area whom you believe meets the criteria for the Excellence in Leadership Program, please share their name with your department, school or college leadership for consideration. Sponsors should submit a Nomination Form that includes a brief description of the nominee’s readiness and fit for the program. Nominations are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 17, with notifications of selection provided no later than May 4. For questions regarding the nomination process, please contact the CU Anschutz liaisons at ELP.Anschutz@cuanchutz.edu.
