Melissa Connell, JD, director of the Ombuds Office for CU Anschutz and CU Denver retired from the university in December 2025. Melissa provided comprehensive ombuds services to the campuses for over 26 years. Melissa’s institutional knowledge and ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the campuses made her a valuable resource to staff, faculty, students and administrators.
We thank her for her many years of service to CU and wish her well in her future endeavors, as well as a long, healthy and productive retirement.
Going forward, CU Denver and CU Anschutz will each have separate ombuds offices. The CU Anschutz Ombuds office will merge with the Office of Adaptive Resolution and ombuds services can be accessed here.
