ColoradoSPH is pleased to announce the establishment of a newly funded Endowed Chair of Innovation. The position was created thanks to a $1.75M funding from the combined generosity of the University of Colorado School of Medicine and the donation from longtime school supporter Dr. Richard Hoffman.
Dean Cathy Bradley, PhD, stated that the timing of the position aligns directly with the school’s strategic direction and vision, which is to be at the forefront of public health – whether that means integrations into the private sector, developing a public health and AI curriculum, or other innovations that will move the field of public health forward. The recipient of the chair is at the sole discretion of the dean.
The inaugural Endowed Chair of Innovation is David Conti, MS, PhD, who was also recently announced as the new chair of the Biostatistics & Informatics Department. Conti comes from the University of Southern California and will be joining the school in January 2026.
