One of eight divisions within the University of Colorado Department of Surgery, the Division of Vascular Surgery is home to surgeons who treat diseases of the vascular system — arteries, veins, and lymphatic circulation — through medical therapy, minimally invasive catheter procedures, and surgical reconstruction.
To learn more about what vascular surgery is and the conditions that it treats, we sat down with Kristen Alix, NP, a nurse practitioner in the Division of Vascular Surgery and a senior instructor of vascular surgery at the CU School of Medicine.
