On Friday March 20, 2026, the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine gathered in the Anschutz Health Sciences Building to celebrate “Match Day.” This monumental event marks a pivotal point in a medical student's journey, where they find out where they will be attending their residency training. It’s also a time for programs such as University of Colorado Family Medicine Residency (CUFMR) to discover who matched into the program and join our community.

The Department of Family Medicine is proud to welcome eleven incoming interns who will be joining the Family Medicine residency program! They are:

  • Madeline Busby - University Track
  • Lindsey Christianson - University Track
  • Emily Gaw - University Track
  • Maura Gustin - Denver Health Track
  • Bryce Hall - University Track
  • Lakai Legg - Denver Health Track
  • Hannah‑Therese Rayala - University Track

“I am super proud to report that ALL the students from the Class of 2026 going into Family Medicine matched and our Family Medicine and Occupational Medicine Residencies filled,” said Dr. Montgomery. “This excellent matching is a sure sign of very healthy undergraduate and graduate educational programs with excellent national reputations and extremely hard-working faculty. Thank you!”

Kathy Cebuhar, MA, LPC, Instructor of Family Medicine and Director of Education and Program Development in CUFMR, is excited for the energy these interns will bring and the ability to watch them grow.

“We are delighted to welcome the CUFMR class of 2029. This outstanding group of future family physicians brings enthusiasm, talent, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. We’re pleased to have them join our program and look forward to supporting their growth while witnessing the meaningful contributions they will make to our department, community, and to the future of Family Medicine.
