Lisa Martinez, Executive Assistant to the Chair of Family Medicine, and Liz Campbell, Communications Program Manager for the Department of Family Medicine, have successfully completed the Manager Certification Program through the University of Colorado Anschutz Career Development initiative.
The Learning and Development (L&D) Manager Certification Program is designed to empower aspiring and existing supervisors/managers with a curriculum designed to hone essential skills and knowledge. This program offers a dynamic blend of core courses and electives that cover a wide range of leadership skills and practical topics, giving managers the tools they need to thrive in complex situations. The curriculum revolves around four core competencies: Managing the Organization, Leading Self, Leading Others and Teams, and Leading Programs and Projects.
For Lisa and Liz, this eight-month, cohort-based program was far more than a series of classes—it was a transformative journey of growth. Throughout the experience, they not only gained essential leadership knowledge but also built meaningful connections within a supportive community and learning alongside peers. Their commitment reflects the heart of the program, developing leaders who can confidently manage organizations, lead with purpose, inspire teams, and guide programs and projects to success.
Congratulations, Lisa and Liz, on this outstanding accomplishment as you continue to lead and mentor with excellence.
