National Recognition For Family Medicine Clinics

We are proud to announce that the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) has confirmed the recognition renewal of NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) status on all six of our UCHealth family medicine clinics.

The three other CU Family Medicine Clinics owned and operated by CU Medicine will seek to officially receive their NCQA recognition by October 2020.

This is nothing to sneeze at. It’s hard-earned and well-deserved. And, it’s all about better patient outcomes and better overall health.

“NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home Recognition raises the bar in defining high-quality care by emphasizing access, health information technology, and coordinated care focused on patients,” says NCQA President Margaret E. O’Kane. “Recognition shows that your clinics have the tools, systems, and resources to provide patients with the right care, at the right time.”

About NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home recognition:

• The NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home program reflects the input of the American College of Physicians (ACP), American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and others.
• It was developed to assess whether clinician practices are functioning as medical homes and recognize them for these efforts.
• The NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home standards emphasize the use of systematic, patient-centered, coordinated care that supports access, communication and patient involvement.
