Written by Liz Campbell | October 31, 2024

Co-PIs Jodi Holtrop, PhD, and Leigh Perreault, MD, (in collaboration with co-authors Mark Gritz, PhD, and Carlos Rodriguez, PhD) received good news this week, in advance of next week’s meeting of The Obesity Society (TOS). Their abstract titled, “Trends in Body Weight in a Colorado Health System’s Primary Care Practices: 2020-2023” has been recognized as one of the top submissions in the Clinical Science section of TOS. Per the message sent by TOS: “This achievement is a remarkable testament to your dedication, innovative research, and the significant contributions you have made to advancing our understanding of obesity. Your work stands out not only for its scientific rigor but also for its potential to influence future research and clinical practices. It is inspiring to see how your findings contribute to our shared goal of improving health outcomes for individuals affected by obesity.” TOS is the leading research group studying obesity and the group will be recognized with a special ribbon on their poster during the annual meeting.
