Dr. Huntington Potter, director of the Alzheimer's and Cognition Center at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center, said the drug could also benefit others with memory problems and improve cognition in people with Down syndrome, but he cautions that several more years of research are needed to make sure the drug is effective.
