Medical School: Baylor College of Medicine
Career Interest: Heme/Onc + Palliative Care
Residency Interests: Medical Education/Resident as Teacher, Advocacy
Scholarly Work: In medical school I worked on projects that assessed outcomes of AML and anti-thrombotic therapy in pediatric PVTs!
Why I Chose Colorado: I find my best wellness and work-life balance from being outside so I love that we're surrounded by mountains, crisp weather and the yellow foliage of aspens. Our intern class is also hilarious and genuinely supportive of each other. Huge perk of a large program is that you can easily have a pal to hang with 'cause you're not the only person off. Lastly, when I was interviewing, I searched for a program with a chill culture that also offered plenty of growth and learning as a clinician and I definitely found it in Colorado!
Favorite Colorado Activities: Hiking the 14ers, climbing, camping, going to concerts, board games, strolling around Denver Botanic Gardens, eating Korean food in Aurora and excited to get into the road cycling and snowboarding scenes here!
Ask me about: Being a Texan transplant, apartment hunting, cat mom, spouse not in medicine, AAPI in Colorado, finding a church!

Medical School: University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine
Career Interest: Hospital Medicine, Renal, PICU
Residency Interests: Medical Education, Advocacy
Scholarly Work: I am currently working on a research project evaluating patient caregiver perspectives on the renal transplant evaluation process post transplant! We hope to utilize this data to observe outcomes and also determine if distance plays a role in perspectives and patient outcomes. I am also working on data analysis/chart review for acute renal failure requiring dialysis/CRRT.
Why I Chose Colorado: I quickly fell in love with the people here during my interview and the first few months of intern year have only confirmed I made the best decision. Everyone is so kind, supportive and intentional. I’m surrounded by intelligent, hard-working, passionate people who also love to have fun outside of work! Additionally, Denver is the perfect place – the amenities of a big city with the mountains in your backyard – it's easy to sneak away for a hike or ski trip!
Favorite Colorado Activities: Skiing, hiking, taking my pups for walks in one of the many local parks, visiting local breweries with my co-residents!
Ask me about: Single dog mom life, moving to a new city & knowing practically no one, skiing, MedEd, anything!

Career Interest: Hospital Medicine, NICU, PICU?
Residency Interests: Medical Education, recruitment, program committee, wellness!
Scholarly Work: Finishing up medical school work on neurodevelopmental outcomes in preemies requiring phototherapy! Hoping to get involved in med-ed/QI/clinical research of some flavor during residency eventually but focusing on intern life for now.
Why I Chose Colorado: Basic, but – the people, the place and the program! Everyone on interview day seemed supportive and like-minded and excited to learn/teach/grow (and that's proven true now that I'm here). I loved the fact that our program trains you to be a primary care provider while also seeing some crazy exciting/unique subspecialty exposure. Plus, Denver is an incredible place to live and is just a calming place to be!
Favorite Colorado Activities: Hiking, trying new coffee shops/restaurants/breweries, attempting golf and just enjoying the 300 days of sunshine and warmth. Excited for ski season too!
Ask me about: Anything! Program questions, life in Colorado, moving from out-of-state, partner outside of medicine, etc. etc. etc.
