Doing a pharmacy residency may not sound terribly romantic, but for Danielle Rhyne and Cy Fixen, it was the perfect setting.
"We tried to keep our relationship a secret for a while," Rhyne said, "but I don't recommend that. I'm almost certain everyone we worked with knew there was something going on!"
The two plan to marry in September in Fort Collins, because they enjoy the brewery scene there so much. The reception will be held at the Fort Collins Country Club, where they plan to serve a seasonal beer from their favorite brewery, Odell, something hoppy from New Belgium and a Funkwerks saison.
The bride- and groom-to-be celebrated their June graduations with a month-long backpacking trip. Fixen now works as a PACT clinical pharmacist at the Denver Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Rhyne is an assistant professor at the CU Skaggs School of Pharmacy, and is also a geriatric clinical pharmacist at the Seniors Clinic at University of Colorado Hospital.
