William F. Carlyle, 97, passed away Monday, Feb. 7, 2022 in Urbana, IL. A 1950 graduate of the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy, Bill was a pharmacist and manager of McBride’s pharmacies on Main Street and Lincoln Square in Urbana until his retirement.
He served his country in the US Navy during World War II while patrolling the Gulf of Mexico and looking for German U-boats on the east coast. After his service and school, he returned to Illinois to raise his family and begin his work in pharmacy.
