Over 400 people gathered at this year’s Benefactor Recognition Dinner in the Seawell Ballroom at the Denver Performing Arts Complex. The event recognizes and celebrates those behind philanthropic gifts to the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
Among those in the crowd were Edward and Karen Skaff, CU alums and longtime supporters of the CU Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. They recently established the Skaff Endowed Scholarship. It was established to help promising students with their financial needs in acquiring an education at CU Pharmacy. Their hope is the Skaff Scholarship Fund will benefit many generations of pharmacy students.
At the event, CU Pharmacy staff also led a lotion compounding activity for guests, and attendees could spin the school's prize wheel to win a sample of Difinsa53 lotion, a product partly developed by CU Pharmacy faculty members Tom Anchordoquy, PhD, and Rajesh Agarwal, PhD.
