Health Links® recognizes Colorado employers dedicated to advancing workplace health, safety, and well-being annually. At this year's event, United in Safety, Health Links honored award winners and finalists for their remarkable achievements. The event provided attendees with a unique and exciting opportunity to learn from successful business leaders and peers and collaborate with like-minded professionals. Throughout the event, participants explored services and programs aimed at helping them achieve workplace health, safety, and well-being goals.
Governor Jared Polis officially proclaimed August 14, 2025, the day of the annual celebration, Colorado's Day of Total Worker Health®, underscoring the official recognition of this important initiative. Read the entire Proclamation here.
Total Worker Health (TWH) is a holistic approach to worker well-being that integrates occupational safety and health protection with health promotion to prevent worker injury and illness and to advance health and well-being.

Award Winners
Champion of Well-Being Certified Leader Award Winner: State of Colorado
The Health Links Champion of Well-being Certified Leader Award recognizes one outstanding workplace with a long-standing commitment to the TWH approach. The recipient of this award is truly a leader in promoting workplace health and safety.
The State of Colorado employs approximately 35,000 people across multiple departments, divisions, and the Governor’s office, and while the state participates in Health Links as a whole, several individual units—such as the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation—also engage in the program.
Demonstrating a strong commitment to worker health, safety, and well-being, the state offers a range of supportive initiatives, including the State of Health program, a no-cost, year-long initiative that helps employees prevent and manage chronic conditions through personalized coaching, virtual wellness resources, and financial incentives. In addition, employees have access to a robust and comprehensive benefits package, including the Colorado State Employee Assistance Program (CSEAP), which provides counseling, coaching, webinars, financial assistance, and mediation services at no charge.
Champion of Well-Being Emerging Leader Award Winner: Colorado Springs Utilities
The Health Links Champion of Well-being Emerging Leader Award recognizes an outstanding workplace committed to the TWH approach.
Colorado Springs Utilities is a local utilities provider with more than 2,000 employees dedicated to delivering safe and reliable services to the Colorado Springs community. The organization is deeply committed to fostering a strong safety culture by offering in-depth training, education, and all required personal protective equipment, while also providing employees with a comprehensive benefits package that includes generous paid time off.
In 2024, Colorado Springs Utilities further advanced its commitment to worker well-being by drafting and approving a Total Worker Health committee charter to embed health, safety, and well-being into its organizational core values, as well as delivering a comprehensive leadership training on Total Worker Health to executive leaders, unit managers, and supervisors.
Workplace Mental Health Champion Winner: Absolute Caulking and Waterproofing

Our Workplace Mental Health Champion Award recognizes one organization that supports the mental health of employees, their families, and the community.
Absolute Caulking & Waterproofing, Inc. is a multi-generational, family-owned business with 40 employees that prioritizes supporting team members through challenging life situations with care and compassion. The company earned high scores on the Health Links Workplace Mental Health Survey in areas such as workplace culture, employee benefits, education and training, and equity and accessibility, reflecting its strong commitment to employee well-being. Executive leaders at Absolute Caulking & Waterproofing actively “walk the talk” by fostering a recovery-friendly workplace and ensuring mental health remains a central focus of their organizational values.
Family-Friendly Award Winner: Metro Water Recovery
Our Family-Friendly Workplace Award recognizes one organization that supports employees as caregiving in all stages of life.
Metro Water Recovery is a wastewater management organization with approximately 470 employees serving 65 local governments—including cities and sanitation districts—across Denver and parts of Adams, Arapahoe, Jefferson, Douglas, and Weld Counties.
