Bonnie edit

Bonnie has been part of the Department of Family Medicine for 18 years and the University of Colorado for 29 years. Her career has focused on a broad range of education around lifestyle, diabetes, and obesity. She recognizes that, although her nutrition career has varied from the conventional path, it was her commitment to making a positive impact and the support of her colleagues that propelled her to where she is today.

“It is an honor to be recognized by my profession,” says Bonnie, “I would like to call out my colleagues in the department and particularly within the Practice Innovation Program, who have really supported and mentored me and encouraged me to do the work that I do. You don't do these things on your own, that's for sure. There’s lots of wonderful people standing behind me.”

With great gratitude, Bonnie reminds us to, “follow your passion and do the work that you really believe in and that you think is going to make a difference.”

Congratulations, Bonnie!
