Cleveland Piggott, MD, MPH; Gilbert Achay; Vanessa Owen, MA; and Carlee Kreisel, MPH were authors on a recently published Society of Teacher's of Family Medicine (STFM) column entitled "Assessing Faculty Commitments to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion through the Performance Review Process."
When asked about this important publication, Cleveland said: "As leaders helping to institutionalize DEI in the culture of academic medicine, the DFM has been instrumental in changing the faculty performance review process in the school of medicine. This publication highlights some of the why, how, and findings of this work over the first two years of implementation."
