Hannah Kimmel Supron, MD, MPH, Chief Resident of the University of Colorado Family Medicine Residency (CUFMR), has been selected as a 2026-2027 Doximity Clinical AI Leader Fellow.
Doximity is the largest verified network of healthcare professionals in the United States, connecting clinicians across specialties and care settings. During this highly competitive fellowship, Dr. Kimmel will collaborate with Doximity teams to test, refine, and help shape real-world clinical artificial intelligence (AI) tools. The program offers a unique opportunity for physician leaders to contribute to the future of AI innovation in medicine while ensuring these technologies meet the needs of clinicians and patients.
When asked about her hopes for the role, Dr. Kimmel said, “As AI tools become increasingly ubiquitous, I'm excited for the opportunity to help shape how they can be thoughtfully integrated into clinical practice on a national scale. I believe Family Medicine—with our broad scope and emphasis on longitudinal relationships—is well-positioned to show how AI can enhance rather than replace the art of medicine. I’m grateful for this exposure as a resident, and I'm hopeful it will open the door to future opportunities in clinical informatics or physician leadership to improve patient outcomes, clinical workflows, and provider satisfaction.”
Corey Lyon, DO, FAAFP, Program Director for the CUFMR and Professor of Family Medicine at CU Anschutz, shared his excitement about Dr. Kimmel's selection for this unique opportunity.
