DFM's Sean Oser recently provided testimony to the Colorado State Senate Committee on Health and Human Services in support of remote patient monitoring and expanded coverage of continuous glucose monitoring for Colorado Medicaid. Others provided testimony in support of moving the bill forward out of the committee. Among others, these included Karla Saffer, RN, CDCES, a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist who traveled from her home and practice in Wray, Colorado to testify; and Tracy Hofeditz MD, a family physician with a federally qualified health center in Conifer, Colorado. With the overwhelming support of those providing testimony and with no meaningful opposition, the Committee members voted unanimously and across party lines to advance the bill on to its next stop in the Senate.
