Exploring Resettled Refugee Experiences In Primary Care

minute read

by Robert Thompson | December 22, 2023

Assistant Professor of Family Medicine Sarah Brewer, PhD, MPA, recently published an article entitled “‘I don’t know exactly what that means to do check-ups’: understanding and experiences of primary care among resettled young adult refugees.” When asked about the article, Sarah said: I’m really proud of this multilingual qualitative study that explores how young adult refugees experience primary care after they resettle in the US. Even more so because I was lucky to work with four amazing community-research assistants, and two (Enas Alsharea and Lah Say Wah) who stuck with it to co-author this work with me!
