"Colorado’s Health Extension Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Multi-method Evaluation"
Ashley Sherril, MS, LPC, Senior Research Services Professional in the Department of Family Medicine (DFM), is the corresponding author for "Colorado’s Health Extension Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Multi-method Evaluation."
As collaboration between the DFM and Colorado's Trailhead Institute, Ms. Sherril shared that "this publication represents a continuation of our efforts to demonstrate the extensive scope of the Regional Health Connector (RHC) program across Colorado, emphasizing their role as vital health extension agents. From facilitating practice transformation and community-clinic linkages to engaging in public health policy and advocacy, sustained funding for RHCs is crucial to their ongoing work in enhancing the health of Colorado residents by strengthening the systems that support our well-being. It particularly focuses on the work they did helping practices and communities deal with the many challenges arising during the COVID-19 pandemic.
On a more passionate note, it's been a labor of love, patience and true partnership with the University, Trailhead, and RHC’s to go through the various revisions for publication. We are thrilled to share the dedicated and far-reaching impact of the RHC initiative throughout Colorado."
