Chelsea Sobczak, MPH, Research Services Senior Professional in the Department of Family Medicine, is the corresponding author for "Virtual Continuous Glucose Monitoring Initiation Service (virCIS): A Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist-Led, Multidisciplinary Intervention to Expand Access to Continuous Glucose Monitoring in Primary Care." This article explores the development and implementation of the virCIS, created as a part of the Practice Innovation Program's PREPARE 4 CGM study. The virCIS used a multidisciplinary approach to provide virtual CGM services to patients while educating their primary care providers on how to independently manage CGM-related care in the future. Ms. Sobczak was proud to share the following about this publication: "The service was a ~2-year adventure and it was so exciting to be able to be a part of it from the conceptual and development phases, all the way through implementation and analysis of the results."
