CU Nursing’s Online Master’s Program Ranked Among the Country’s Best by U.S. News & World Report

AURORA, Colo. (January 21, 2025) – The University of Colorado College of Nursing at Anschutz Medical Campus has the top online Master’s in Nursing program in Colorado and one of the top programs in the country.

The 2025 Best Online Master’s in Nursing Programs by U.S. News & World Report ranked CU Nursing’s program 17th in the country. The college’s online i-LEAD in Nursing and Health Care Systems is ranked 7th, up one spot from last year. CU Nursing continues to be the #1 nursing program in Colorado.

U.S. News ranks schools based on several factors, including research, faculty resources, student excellence, and qualitative ratings from experts. The Best Online Programs rankings evaluate more than 1,700 online bachelor’s and master’s degree programs using metrics specific to online learning. The rankings only include degree-granting programs offered primarily online by regionally accredited institutions.

Other CU Nursing programs have received high rankings from U.S. News & World Report. The college’s BS in Nursing program is ranked #19 in the country in the 2025 Best Bachelor of Science (BSN) Programs. The Master’s and Doctorate program in Nurse-Midwifery is tied for #3 in the 2024 rankings. In other 2024 rankings, the college’s Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) is 33rd and our DNP Adult-Gerontology Acute Care program is 10th.
