Halis Akturk, MD, associate professor of pediatrics at the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes, has been selected to receive the AACE Rising Star in Endocrinology Award from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology at the association’s annual meeting in May in New Orleans.
Earlier this year, Halis was named co-chair of the American Diabetes Association’s Scientific Sessions Meeting Planning Committee for New Technology. He has been the principal investigator on many clinical trials assessing diabetes technologies and therapeutics such as hybrid closed loop pumps and continuous glucose monitors.
