Bunik Named Inaugural Associate Chief Medical Officer-Ambulatory

Maya Bunik, MD, has been selected as the inaugural Associate Chief Medical Officer-Ambulatory for our System of Care.

Dr. Bunik is Professor of Pediatrics at University of Colorado's School of Medicine and has been the Medical Director of the Child Health Clinic (CHC) since 2007. She has a long history of strong partnerships with nursing and success leading change, as seen in the transformation of the CHC operational model to meet the growing primary care needs of our community and in the physical move of CHC to the Health Pavilion.

Dr. Bunik has great experience building high-functioning teams, which is critical to the future of our Children's Colorado ambulatory operations. In this new role, she will partner closely with ambulatory nursing and operations leadership as well as our clinical medical directors to facilitate change that benefits the experience of our providers, care teams and patients.
