Hometown: Weston, MA
Undergrad: Harvard University
Medical School: Brown University
Career Interest: Primary care

Why I Chose Colorado: Came for an away to be closer to my boyfriend's family during some family events, and just immediately fell in love. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and the program had everything I was looking for with a large children's hospital and tons of different specialties. Denver Health has been an unexpected benefit being able to split time between a community hospital and a large children's hospital.

Favorite Colorado Activities: Cherry creek off leash area, trying out new restaurants and breweries.

Ask me about: Moving cross country, owning a dog in residency.

Hometown: Dartmouth, MA
Undergrad: Duke University
Medical School: Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University
Career Interest: PICU vs. PEM

Residency Interests: Medical education, wellness

Scholarly Work: Medical school research – Newborn simulation based exercise for medical students focusing on the physical exam. Residency – QUIVER project focusing on lymphadenitis and antibiotic stewardship by recommending ED discharge with Keflex instead of Augmentin.

Why I Chose Colorado: I was interested in Children's Hospital Colorado for a couple of reasons. Firstly, when I interviewed with the program, it was clear to me how supportive the residents and attendings are of one another, which I can attest is definitely the case. Secondly, my husband and I love the outdoors including hiking, skiing and biking. Denver is truly an amazing place to live and raise children and it is a fantastic fit for our family. There are so many activities available for young children in the Denver area (I am happy to talk about this if anyone is interested).

Favorite Colorado Activities: Skiing, road biking (often to Denver Health), hiking, splash pads, Children's Museum and playgrounds with my kids.

Ask me about: Moving across the country for residency, having a partner outside of medicine, being a mom and a resident.
