Exceptional Professionalism Earns Dr. Tolulope Falaiye Children’s Healthcare Award

The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation celebrates Tolulope Falaiye, MD, MSCI, associate professor of pediatrics, Section of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, University of Colorado School of Medicine, for receiving the Children’s Healthcare Award from the Foundation’s Rocky Mountain Chapter.

The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation is proud to share that Dr. Tolulope Falaiye is being recognized as the recipient of the Children’s Healthcare Award at the annual Night of Hope: Sparking Change for a Brighter Hope Gala on Saturday, September 14, 2024. This award is given to physicians who demonstrate exceptional commitment and dedication to caring for pediatric inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patients. Dr. Falaiye has clearly exemplified these qualities in her practice of medicine.

Falaiye is a board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist at Children’s Hospital Colorado, Colorado Springs, with an interest in inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis) and the transition from pediatric to adult medical care. She is currently on the Professional Education National Scientific Advisory Committee of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. She previously worked at the Penn State Children’s Hospital in Hershey, Pennsylvania, where she established a pediatric IBD clinic and pediatric IBD transition clinic. She received her pediatric gastroenterology training at the Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and pediatrics at the Shands-University of Florida Children’s Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. She is always looking for innovative ways to improve the care of her patients. Falaiye serves on the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation’s National Board of Trustees.

The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation's Night of Hope gala, which supports the Foundation’s mission of finding cures for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, two debilitating, incurable inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), will take place at The Cable Center in Denver on September 14, 2024. The Night of Hope raises awareness and funds for the nearly 1 in 100 people suffering from IBD in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming.
