minute read

The Department of Pediatrics announces the appointment of Brandi Freeman, MD (Associate Professor, Section of General Pediatrics) and Jenny Reese, MD, (Professor of Clinical Practice and Head, Section of Hospital Medicine) to Vice Chair leadership roles. Both have been serving in Associate Vice Chair roles under the direction of the Vice Chair for Faculty Affairs, Dr. Andy Sirotnak.

Dr. Freeman advances to the role of Vice Chair for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Dr. Reese advances to the role of Vice Chair for Faculty Well-Being and Resilience. Elevating each of these roles to the Vice Chair level recognizes the exceptionally strong work that both Brandi and Jenny have accomplished since taking on their Associate Vice Chair positions in 2020. Designating Vice Chair titles for each of these positions also demonstrates the Department’s commitment to making significant advances in these critical areas of focus.
