Hudnut-Tanabe Receives Inaugural M. Douglas Jones, Jr., MD Faculty Educator Award

Assistant Professor Julia Hudnut-Tanabe, MD, is the recipient of the first annual M. Douglas Jones, Jr., MD Faculty Educator Award, announced at the inaugural M. Douglas Jones, Jr., MD Lectureship in Medical Education on March 14, 2025. Hudnut-Tanabe is a general pediatrician who was a resident and chief resident in the University of Colorado pediatrics program and has had a long-standing interest in education. She is the director of the pediatric primary care curriculum for our residency program and is conducting ongoing scholarly work on several aspects of primary care residency training. Her excellence as an educator has been recognized by several awards, including the (Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship) LIC Teacher of the Year for the Children's Hospital Colorado LIC in 2023 and the prestigious Gary Way Award by our pediatric residents in 2024.
