Leadership Announcement: Jonen Named Vice Chair; Jackson Promoted to Associate Director

The Department of Pediatrics has announced several leadership updates, including the appointment of a new Vice Chair.

Mike Jonen has been named Vice Chair for Finance and Administration, in recognition of his excellent management of finance and administrative functions since joining the Department in February 2018. Under his guidance, the Department has made significant progress in budgeting and financial reporting, navigated through the COVID-19 pandemic’s financial uncertainty and successfully recruited 10 new Section Heads and multiple strategic faculty hires.

In addition, Liz Jackson has been promoted to Associate Director of Finance and Administration, Clinical Operations. She has served as Director of Clinical Business Development for the past 6 years, focusing on clinical faculty business growth and optimization. In her new role, Liz will take on more responsibilities, including developing and implementing the Department’s critical clinical priorities and establishing strong partnerships with key hospital stakeholders to improve opportunities.
