Drug overdose deaths plummet to pre-pandemic levels during fentanyl crisis

Prof. Robert Valuck, PhD, who runs the Center for Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy, said the pandemic supercharged drug use, which lead to a significant increase in overdose deaths; with the pandemic over, the levels are essentially where they would have been without it.
