CU Anschutz celebrated a remarkable milestone for longtime faculty during a reception, held May 4 in the Anschutz Health Sciences Building. The annual event recognizes faculty members who have dedicated 25 years of service to CU Anschutz, highlighting their lasting impact on the institution’s mission in education, research and clinical care.
This year, 20 faculty members reached the 25-year milestone.
“Tonight offers a moment to celebrate our most important strength – our people,” said Chancellor Don Elliman during his remarks. “You, our talented faculty, have elevated CU Anschutz through your achievements and dedication to our mission. We simply could not deliver on that mission without you.”
The tradition of recognizing 25-year faculty began nearly two decades ago and continues to serve as an opportunity to reflect on both individual contributions and the broader growth of the campus.
Laura Borgelt, PharmD, MBA, executive vice chancellor of academic and student affairs, provost and chief academic officer, led the medal presentation ceremony.
“Faculty are at the heart of everything we do at CU Anschutz and represent the lifeblood of higher education,” Borgelt said. “This medal is a small but meaningful expression of our gratitude – one that reflects our university's deep appreciation for each of you and honors this significant milestone."
Congratulations to the 2026 25-Year Faculty Honorees!
