Read Kaylee's nominating statement:

Kaylee Rivera-Gordon, project manager at the CCTSI Community Engagement Core, is the heartbeat of the team a truly exceptional collaborator whose presence elevates everything we do. She serves as a vital connector across our department, bringing together people, ideas and purpose with ease. If there is a question about our work, Kaylee not only knows the answer but can offer the context and insight that help others understand the bigger picture. She is the thread that brings the entire tapestry together. Kaylee consistently goes above and beyond to ensure those around her feel equipped, supported and valued. Her leadership style, which is grounded in kindness, grace and positivity, creates an environment where learning, growth and teamwork thrive. She listens with intention, encourages input and makes every team member feel like a meaningful contributor. Her feedback is thoughtful, constructive and empowering, helping transform challenges into opportunities for improvement and shared success.

Her support extends far beyond routine tasks. A team member experienced a significant health challenge last year. Kaylee stepped in without hesitation, taking on additional responsibilities with her usual care and competence. She kept operations running smoothly, provided steady encouragement and made that colleague's eventual return to work something to genuinely look forward to. Her compassion during that time is something the employee is deeply grateful for. Kaylee’s presence is a daily source of inspiration. Working alongside her is a gift that motivates team members to show up, contribute and continue growing. Her impact is felt in every corner of our work, and our team is stronger because of her commitment, heart and leadership.
