Change Please Offers an Extraordinary Mission Along With a Cup of Coffee

Can you tell us the story behind Change Please?

Change Please was founded in 2015 to address the growing issue of homelessness in the United Kingdom, and its catastrophic and draining effects on individuals and on society. Change Please is an award-winning social enterprise. We sell great tasting coffee and use 100% of profits to power barista trainings and hospitality focused career development.

We provide an early intervention, helping people build stability and avoid the risks of chronic homelessness. With the help of global partnerships, our mission expanded to the United States in late 2021. Wholesale accounts and philanthropic efforts funded our first training academy and café, which opened in Charlotte, North Carolina, in early 2023. Today, we deliver barista training in Charlotte, New York and Denver.

What is the most popular menu item?

Our lattes! We just had a Honey Lavender Latte on the menu that did really well. We have a Dirty Horchata Latte on the menu right now that people are enjoying!
