Read Candace's nominating statement:
Candace is being nominated because her impact extends far beyond the scope of her official responsibilities. While her formal role includes scheduling and travel coordination, the support she provides goes well beyond those duties. She also helps track funding ‒ despite it not being part of her job description ‒ and does so with exceptional care and attention, making it an essential component of effective workflow management.
She serves as the primary point of contact for nearly every business-related question. Regardless of how busy circumstances may be, she remains consistently responsive and quick to assist. What stands out most is the level of trust she inspires. When she is handling a matter, there is complete confidence that it will be managed correctly, thoughtfully and efficiently.
Recently, she identified an error in funding that had gone unnoticed. Left unaddressed, the issue could have developed into a prolonged and frustrating situation. Instead, she immediately recognized the problem, knew exactly who to contact and took prompt action. An issue that might have taken weeks for someone else to resolve was handled swiftly due to her knowledge, initiative and willingness to step in. This instance reflects how she approaches her work every day ‒ she does not simply complete tasks, she actively looks out for others.
What truly sets her apart is that she treats others’ responsibilities as if they matter to her personally. She goes above and beyond not out of obligation, but because she genuinely cares about doing things well and supporting those around her. Her reliability, kindness and strong problem-solving skills make a meaningful difference in daily operations. She consistently surpasses expectations in every respect.
