Cammie Howell is an outstanding member of the CU Anschutz community whose impact extends far beyond her role as a research services senior professional and laboratory manager. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that both people and projects succeed.
She brings exceptional organization, foresight and accountability to complex research operations. She not only manages workflows, compliance and resources with precision, but also anticipates challenges and implements solutions that improve efficiency and teamwork across the group. Her contributions create stability and momentum, allowing others to focus on their work with confidence
Her leadership is especially evident during times of change. During a recent period of significant staffing transitions, Cammie stepped up to take on additional responsibilities, ensuring continuity of critical projects and supporting her colleagues with professionalism and care. Her calm, solutions-driven approach made a meaningful difference for the entire team.
Cammie is also a trusted mentor and collaborator. She generously shares her expertise, trains others with patience and respect, and fosters an inclusive environment where individuals feel supported and empowered to grow. In addition to her operational and leadership strengths, Cammie is a dedicated scientist who contributes to research through publications, presentations and innovation. She recently earned her MBA with a focus on scientific management, further strengthening her ability to lead.
