The University of Colorado Cancer Center and the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center’s QUILS program, funded by the Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation, has dramatically improved lung cancer screening rates and outcomes in Kentucky since its 2015 launch. With a new $6.8 million grant, the program is expanding to Nevada and Mississippi to address barriers to early detection in vulnerable communities. This expansion, announced during Lung Cancer Awareness Month, aims to improve screening rates, early detection, and long-term health outcomes nationwide.
