University of Colorado Cancer Center member Janet Kukreja, MD, director of urological oncology at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus, performed a robot-assisted laparoscopic bladder removal and reconstruction for head football coach Deion Sanders after the discovery of a high-grade tumor. Kukreja said Sanders is now cured of the aggressive bladder cancer and will return to coaching this fall.
