Health Links® recognizes Colorado employers dedicated to advancing workplace health, safety, and well-being annually. At this year's event, Celebrating Healthy Workplaces, Health Links honored award winners and finalists for their remarkable achievements. The event provided attendees with a unique and exciting opportunity to learn from successful business leaders and peers and collaborate with like-minded professionals. Throughout the event, participants explored services and programs aimed at helping them achieve workplace health, safety, and well-being goals.
Governor Jared Polis officially proclaimed August 22, 2024, the day of the annual celebration, Colorado's Day of Total Worker Health®, underscoring the official recognition of this important initiative. Read the entire Proclamation here.

We not only celebrated achievements at this year’s event but also aimed to make a meaningful impact on mental health. One of the highlights was a volunteer activity in partnership with Project Helping, a non-profit organization based in Centennial, Colorado. Project Helping promotes volunteering as a form of meaningful self-care. During the event, attendees assembled 'Mental Health Kits' for individuals facing mental health challenges. This act of kindness and support demonstrates the power of collective action in improving mental health. These kits will be donated to partner organizations by Project Helping, further extending the reach of Health Links' efforts.
The Health Links Champion of Well-being Certified Leader Award recognizes one outstanding workplace with a long-standing commitment to the TWH approach. The recipient of this award is truly a leader in promoting workplace health and safety.
Pitkin County, a public administration employer headquartered in Aspen, Colorado, employs approximately 375 people. Pitkin County embraces the TWH approach by integrating health and safety initiatives. Pitkin County also engages its team members through interactive activities, including education, training, and interactive challenges designed to keep employees physically active and socially connected.
The Health Links Champion of Well-being Emerging Leader Award recognizes an outstanding workplace committed to the TWH approach.
Absolute Caulking and Waterproofing, a family-owned caulking and waterproofing subcontractor based in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, employs around 40 people. The company is deeply committed to the mental health and well-being of its workers in an industry that faces significant challenges related to substance use disorders and suicide. Absolute is also focused on supporting team members in preventing and managing chronic conditions such as type 2 diabetes and reducing the use of tobacco and nicotine.
Our Workplace Mental Health Champion Award recognizes one organization that supports the mental health of employees, their families, and the community.
Advocates of Routt County, a social services provider based in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, employs 11 staff members and operates within the mental health industry. The organization emphasizes a holistic, trauma-informed approach. They offer training on the risks of secondary trauma and compassion fatigue, highlighting how these factors can lead to burnout and adversely affect provider mental health.

Barber-Nichols LLC, a manufacturing company headquartered in Arvada, Colorado, employs over 200 people.
