In early August, the CU Anschutz School of Medicine’s Academy of Medical Educators (AME) welcomed its latest round of inductees at the AME New Member Induction Ceremony, honoring 24 colleagues from the Department of Family Medicine (DFM).

The AME provides a home base and visible mechanism for faculty to support and enhance all educational programs at the School of Medicine, enabling them to teach and assess learners, develop innovative curricula, become transformative education leaders, and conduct research in medical education science.

More than 20 Family Medicine faculty members—including new inductees and existing members with new designations or tracks—were honored during the ceremony. The AME also recognized the DFM for having the highest percentage of AME-affiliated faculty members of any department in the School of Medicine. Way to go, DFM!

Congratulations to the following DFM faculty members, whose membership helps promote educational excellence, innovation, mentorship, and community across CU Anschutz. Special congratulations to Corey Lyon, DO, and Linda Montgomerey, MD, MA, FAAFP, for their Legacy titles! (Names are listed from the level of designation and alphabetical order.)
