Congratulations to Dr. Lara Penny the new Director of Service for Family Medicine at Denver Health. Penny succeeds Dr. Lucy Loomis who held the post for 25-years.

Lara has spent her entire career in Community Health joining Denver Health in 2006 as the Medical Director of the Montbello Clinic. The Department of Family Medicine and Denver Health have partnered for decades - most notably creating the University of Colorado Family Medicine Residency Denver Health Track in the mid-1990s.
Denver Health is one of the largest FQHC systems in the country with a mission to care for the underserved population of Denver.
There are currently more than 70 Denver Health faculty providing precepting and advising to family medicine residents.
DFM Chair, Dr. Myra Muramoto is excited to see what lies ahead with Dr. Penny at the helm. “We are delighted that Dr. Penny has been named as the Denver Health Family Medicine Director of Service. We look forward to further building on the strong academic collaborations between the Department of Family Medicine and Denver Health.”
For her part, Penny says she is thrilled to be leading the charge. “I am honored to be entrusted with this role and excited about the possibilities and challenges that lie ahead.”
