Introducing Acupuncture Services for Campus Community

minute read

Beginning in December, the CU Anschutz Health and Wellness Center will offer acupuncture, aimed at enhancing holistic health and well-being for our campus community and beyond.

"Acupuncture is a holistic therapy that engages the body’s innate healing mechanisms, focusing not just on symptoms but on fostering overall well-being and vitality," says Dee.

We’re excited to welcome Dee Watts, a Licensed Acupuncturist and Craniosacral Therapy practitioner, to provide both acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, Gua Sha, and more homeopathic treatments to support physical and emotional well-being. “Acupuncture is a holistic therapy that engages the body’s innate healing mechanisms, focusing not just on symptoms but on fostering overall well-being and vitality," says Dee. "Whether you're seeking relief from stress, pain, or aiming to boost your general health, acupuncture can be a valuable addition to your wellness routine."

Acupuncture and complementary services are provided in serene, private spaces for comfort and relaxation. Services will be by appointment-only, to ensure adequate time for a throughout intake and discussion around the patient’s individual needs.

About Dee Watts, our new Acupuncturist and Craniosacral Therapy Practitioner

Dee Final black backgroundDee Watts -LAc DiplAc, is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Craniosacral Therapy (CST) practitioner.  She maintains a license to practice Acupuncture here in Colorado.  She is also nationally certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Dee's passion for natural healing was born from her personal health challenges.  In her early 20’s, Dee battled candida and multiple food allergies. Luckily she began seeing a Licensed Acupuncturist on a regular basis and gradually gained her health back. Later in life acupuncture and CST also played a critical role in resolving infertility and Lyme’s Disease for Dee.

Inspired to help others, Dee left the corporate world and completed the 2,370 hour 28 month Acupuncture Masters Degree program at Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  She then opened her own practice in the Central Park neighborhood of Denver.  Outside of work, Dee enjoys practicing and teaching yoga, spending time with her family: three amazing kids, awesome husband Derek, chocolate lab Woody, and everyone’s favorite neighborhood cat, Jake.
