What you need to know:

The Building DEI Collaborations Forum was the first in a series that’s designed to build connections and resources across diversity, equity, inclusion and community engagement programs and initiatives. The next forum is planned for December. The events are hosted by the CU Anschutz Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Community Engagement.

Over 100 attendees from across the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus virtually gathered on July 29 to learn more about diversity, equity, inclusion and community engagement efforts.

Regina Richards, PhD, MSW, vice chancellor of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Community Engagement, led the presentation, sharing the inspiring vision for improvement. Attendees broke out into smaller think groups to brainstorm solutions to challenges they have faced and to celebrate hard-earned successes. Don Elliman, chancellor of CU Anschutz, shared his thoughts as well. “Our group is a group of doers,” he said. “It’s time to stop stirring and start painting.”
