The University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine is continuing to seek insight from teenagers across the state’s western and rural regions that could inform new interventions for youth suicide. According to CU Anschutz Associate Pediatrics Professor Maya Haasz, the intervention will be a tool for all health care providers, like emergency department doctors and primary care physicians, since many teenagers are not evaluated by a behavioral health specialist unless they screen for active suicidal thoughts.
