“Our research group conducted a similar study and showed that the risk of heart complications was 2 to 6 times higher with infection compared with vaccination among teenagers, and 7 to 8 times higher among young men,” said Suchitra Rao, with the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Children’s Hospital Colorado. She was one of the key investigators looking at national pediatric child data as part of the Nature study.
