In an editorial accompanying the study, Suchitra Rao, [associate professor, Section of Hospital Medicine] of the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora, noted that taken with the adult RECOVER study published in 2023, “the publications highlight the importance of evaluating chronic conditions such as [long COVID] across the life spectrum because there were clear differences in presentations among children, adolescents, and adults.”
