“Clinically, these findings support ultra-rapid insulin lispro-aabc as a reasonable insulin option for people using MiniMed 780G, particularly for those who struggle with premeal bolusing or postprandial hyperglycemia,” Halis Kaan Akturk, associate professor at Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes at University of Colorado, told Healio. “The practical advantage is meal-time flexibility: Patients may not need to bolus 15 to 20 minutes before meals, which is especially relevant for children, adolescents and busy adults.”
