In 2020, the Adult and Child Center for Outcomes Research and Delivery Science (ACCORDS) education program at the School of Medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, was awarded a three-year conference grant from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). After successfully offering two virtual conferences in 2020 and 2021, ACCORDS, and co-sponsor Colorado Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CCTSI), are proud to offer the third annual Colorado Pragmatic Research in Health Conference (COPRH Con) on May 23-25, 2022, as a hybrid event. Anschutz Medical Campus employees and CCTSI members from affiliated institutions can attend this year’s conference for free.

“This year’s conference theme is Disseminating, Scaling, and Sustaining Pragmatic Research, focused on topics ranging from dissemination strategies, measuring scale up and sustainability, complexity and systems science, and de-implementation of ineffective interventions,” states Dr. Bethany Kwan, COPRH conference chair, director of the ACCORDS education program, and director of dissemination and implementation (D&I) research for CCTSI. “Attendees at all levels of training and experience will learn from world-renowned experts in D&I science and pragmatic research methods. They will learn about how pragmatic research – research design for real-world impact – can be ‘designed for dissemination and sustainability’ from the outset. Exciting panels of representatives from policy, health system, community, and commercialization perspectives will also discuss strategies for sustaining research impact.”

Featured speakers of COPRH Con 2022 include:

  • Kristen Hassmiller Lich, PhD, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
  • Doug Luke, PhD, Washington University in St. Louis
  • Rachel Shelton, ScD, MPH, Columbia University

Designed for clinical and translational investigators, including statisticians, dissemination and implementation scientists, program evaluators, health services and public health researchers, COPRH Con 2022 provides a unique learning opportunity to apply pragmatic methods to your own research, gain practical skills for working with healthcare systems and communities, and network with like-minded investigators.
