June Staff Employee of the Month

The CU Anschutz June Staff Employee of the Month is Sarah Staron, business services professional in the Department of Family Medicine.

Sarah Staron consistently goes above and beyond in support of her team and CU Anschutz. While her position was initially created to support a single research project, Sarah has become an indispensable member of the team, expertly balancing multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional quality, professionalism and attention to detail.

Known as the team’s “jack of all trades,” Sarah contributes across a wide range of responsibilities—from developing communication strategies and producing newsletters to managing regulatory reviews, supporting research administration activities and improving team workflows. She approaches every challenge with initiative, adaptability and a commitment to excellence.

Sarah has also been instrumental in strengthening community partnerships, helping engage more than 120 community members throughout the Denver metro area. Her relationship-building skills, collaborative approach and ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders have significantly expanded her team’s reach and impact.

What truly sets Sarah apart is her reliability, positivity and willingness to step in wherever needed. She consistently anticipates needs, follows through on commitments and embraces new challenges with enthusiasm. Her dedication, collaborative spirit and exceptional versatility make her a tremendous asset to her team and to the university. Sarah’s contributions extend far beyond her job description, making her exceptionally deserving of this recognition.
